The ad is significant in its avoidance of rainbow-washing. While it’s perfectly timed for Pride month, it doesn’t jump on any bandwagons, and presents a gay couple in a very ordinary way – regular folk who meet, fall in love, get married, grow old together – while touching upon some of the trials of tribulations of being LGBTQ+.
