Queer Eye’s Tan France appears in the new Christmas ad by UK retailer M&S, which has drawn criticism for promoting “selfish and self obsessed” behaviour, being insensitive to the conflict in Israel & Palestine, and even being generally “woke”.
The spirit of the ad – addressing the stress and effort that goes into making Christmas a memorable festival for all – has been lost among the various interpretations (right or wrong).
Hate it or love it, at least you can’t fault this ad for lacking representation.
