A new advert from the Bank of Australia and New Zealand is encouraging gay couples to be prouder of their relationships and to hold hands more confidently in public.
The company, which is supporting this year’s Auckland Pride, say: “even in 2017, the simple act of holding hands is still difficult for some people – let’s change that and #HoldTight.”
The clip features a number of same-sex couples hesitating over whether to hold hands when sceptical eyes might be watching. It’s a touching tribute to those couples who still find it difficult to be seen in public.
ANZ Australia wants to change that, and believe the simple act of holding hands shouldn’t be anything to be afraid of.
